What’s the problem with attending a meeting in a non-Orthodox denomination? Isn’t it all about God anyway?

The simple answer:
Getting lost begins with a meeting… that seems safe!

No, not everything is about God in the same way we’ve received in our Orthodox Church… and not every meeting leads you to the true Christ!

Listen, my friend and sister…
The Church is not just a place where we gather, and hymns don’t define faith.
Orthodox faith is built on the deposit we received from the Apostles, passed down to our Fathers, and then to us.

But in Protestant meetings, you’ll hear things that sound nice on the outside, but inside, they contain ideas that destroy the foundations of the faith:

– They’ll tell you: the Eucharist is just a symbol, not the true Body and Blood of Christ!
– They’ll say: intercession is idolatry! How can you speak to a saint?
– And the priesthood? No, there’s no priesthood, we’re all priests!
– Confession? No, just confess directly to God!
– And the Church sacraments? They’ll say they’re just human traditions!

What does this mean?
It means that when you walk out of that meeting, you’re not just confused…
You start to doubt what you were raised on—
The Liturgy, the priesthood, the Eucharist, the Church rituals…
And at that point, the distance between you and the Church begins to grow… without you even realizing it!

This isn’t spiritual freedom…
It’s a mindset that promotes tearing down the Church from within you!

And the real danger?
The words are soft, the atmosphere is full of emotions and peace, the songs are beautiful…
So you think you’ve drawn closer to God, but you’ve actually moved away from His true embrace in the Orthodox Church!

Christ isn’t looking for momentary feelings…
He gave us a complete Church—
With holy sacraments, sound teaching, true priesthood, intercession, and saints…

That’s the embrace of the Church… not just any meeting!

Before you attend any meeting, ask yourself:
Does what’s happening inside align with the faith we received from the Apostles?
Or are they offering me bait wrapped in emotion… but filled with poison?

Stay away from any teaching that makes you doubt your Church.
Getting lost begins with a meeting… that seems safe!

Even the Bible warned us about this:

“For the time will come when people will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;
They will turn their ears away from the truth and be turned aside to fables.”
(2 Timothy 4:3–4)
